Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026. These terms are between you and RealTalk.
The service
RealTalk provides English speaking practice with an AI voice partner, flashcards and progress tracking. Voice conversations are generated by a third-party AI model (OpenAI) and can be wrong; don't rely on them for anything important.
Your account
You need an email address and a password. Keep your password safe; you're responsible for activity on your account. You must be at least 14 years old (or the age of digital consent where you live).
Payments
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Subscriptions renew automatically each period until cancelled. Each plan includes a number of voice minutes per period; unused minutes don't carry over, except minutes bought as a one-off pack. A test pass is a single payment: it gives its daily minutes for its number of days and doesn't renew.
Acceptable use
Don't use RealTalk to break the law, harass anyone, generate harmful content, or overload, reverse-engineer or resell the service. We may suspend accounts that do.
Your content
Your flashcards, recordings of mistakes and conversation text are yours. You give us permission to store and process them only to provide the service to you. You can export or delete everything in Account.
Availability and changes
We work to keep RealTalk running but can't promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change features or these terms; for material changes we'll tell you by email before they apply.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, RealTalk is provided "as is", and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law.
Ending
You can stop using RealTalk and delete your account at any time. We may end these terms if you seriously break them.
